Milestones
Cory has become very good at sucking his thumb. At first it was just whatever finger came nearby, but now he very deliberately sucks his thumb. I understand some people don’t think this is a particularly good development and try to discourage this, but there are also people who try to discourage learning about evolution. At two months, I don’t think it’s going to cause much damage.
On the other hand, Cory also managed to grab my glasses for the first time ever today. Pulled them right off my face. He didn’t give any clue that he knew what he did, but he tried again a little later.
They are small milestones, but they are much more grand than they were just a few weeks ago. That was when we said things like “Look! his eyes are focusing on something six inches away!” Hopefully it will only be a handful of years before we follow this up with “Look, Cory made a working cold-fusion device with his Legos and half a bag of Chee-Tos! He has saved all mankind!”
Not that we have high expectations or anything.

You might have to spring for the jumbo set of Tinker Toys if you’re expecting that kind of ingenuity. I mean, seriously. At least give the kid the toold he needs!
I don’t know, Kim. We don’t want to spoil him. Challenge builds character!
Just give him powertools and some blocks of wood. He can build his own toys.
